The beautiful Pacific
Here's a picture I took on my first day seeing the Pacific Ocean. The temperature was in the mid-70s, and the breeze was invigorating. I wish I could describe the scent of the ocean. It was amazing - soft and clean. Simply magnificent. The entire day was perfect for my first view of the big blue.

Gorgeous!
Did you get to climb on the rocks or was this as far or as close as you were allowed to go? It looks so inviting!
Thank you for sharing such beauty!
We were in the scenic overview parking lot, right up against the rail. There was a walking/jogging path just beyond the rail - about 4 feet wide or so. Then the flat ground that you see in the foreground. This was taken with the wide focus, so it's just about how far we were from these people on the rocks below.
That's the biggest thing I miss about living on the East Coast -- the ocean. I loved it.
I love the ocean. I'm not a big swimmer or sunbather because of my fair complexion, but I love the ocean. It calms and relaxes me like nothing else.
Beautiful photo, btw.
If you ever happen to go to a Kohl's store (I did once), they have a wonderful candle that smells like the ocean. I can't remember the name of it, though. It's mottled blue, white, and gray.
